وفي هذه الآيات أنواع من العبر من الدلالة على ضلال من يحاكم إلى غير الكتاب والسنة، وعلى نفاقه،

In these verses, there are lessons indicating the misguidance of those who refer to other than the Qur'an and Sunnah, and their hypocrisy.

وإن زعم أنه يريد التوفيق بيد الأدلة الشرعية

Even if he claims he wants to reconcile with the religious evidence.

وبين ما يسميه هو عقليات من الأمور المأخوذة عن بعض الطواغيت من المشركين وأهل الكتاب وغير ذلك من أنواع الاعتبار

And between what he calls 'rationalities' taken from some tyrants among the polytheists, People of the Book, and other forms of consideration.

فمن كان خطؤه لتفريطه فيما يجب عليه من اتباع القرآن والإيمان مثلا،

Whoever errs due to negligence in following the Qur'an and faith, for example,

أو لتعديه حدود الله بسلوك السبل التي نهى عنها،

or by transgressing the limits of Allah by pursuing forbidden paths,

أو لاتباع هواه بغير هدى من الله،

or by following his desires without guidance from Allah,

فهو الظالم لنفسه، وهو من أهل الوعيد؛

he is wronging himself, and he is among those warned;

بخلاف المجتهد في طاعة الله، ورسوله باطنا وظاهرًا

unlike the diligent one in obedience to Allah and His Messenger, internally and externally,

الذي يطلب الحق باجتهاده كما أمره الله ورسوله؛

who seeks the truth through his effort as Allah and His Messenger commanded him;

فَهَذَا مَغْفُورٌ لَهُ خَطَؤُهُ

this person's errors are forgiven.
