Abu Dharr, may Allah be pleased with him, said:
One night I went out.
Then the Messenger of God, peace be upon him, was walking alone.
"And there was no one with him," he said.
So I thought that he disliked anyone walking with him, he said.
So I began to walk in the moon's shade.
Then he turned, saw me, and said, "Who is this?"
I said, O Abu Dharr, may Allah make me your ransom.
He said, "Come here, Abu Dharr."
He said, and then I walked with him for an hour.
He said, "Indeed, those who give abundantly will be the few on the Day of Resurrection."
Except for whoever Allah has given good to,
Then he breathed into it with his right hand, his left hand, between his hands, and behind it.
And he did good in it.
He said, so I walked with him for an hour.
He said to me, 'Sit right here'.
He said, then he seated me in a hollow surrounded by stones.
He said to me, "Sit here until I return to you."
He said, then he set off into the volcanic field until I could no longer see him.
So he stayed away from me and prolonged his absence.
Then I heard him as he was approaching.
And he was saying, even if he stole and even if he committed adultery.
He said, and when he came I could not remain patient.
Until I said, "O Prophet of God, may God make me your ransom."
Who are you speaking to at the edge of the lava field?
I did not hear anyone reply to you.
Gabriel, peace be upon him, said that.
He appeared to me at the edge of the lava field,
He said: Give your community the good news that whoever dies without associating anything with God will enter Paradise.
I said, "O Gabriel, even if he stole and even if he committed adultery?"
He said, 'Yes'.
He said, "I said, 'And if he steals, and if he commits fornication?'" He said, "Yes."
And if he drinks wine.
An-Nadr said: Shu'bah told us.
Habib ibn Abi Thabit, al-A'mash, and Abd al-Aziz ibn Rufay' narrated to us,
Zayd ibn Wahb narrated to us,
With this, Abu Abdillah said.
The report of Abu Salih from Abu Darda' is mursal and not authentic.
We intended it only for knowledge, and the authentic report is that of Abu Dharr.
It was said to Abu Abdullah.
The hadith of Ata ibn Yasar from Abu al-Darda, he said, is also mursal and is not authentic.
The authentic report is that of Abu Dharr.
And he said, "Reject this report of Abu Darda'."
When a person dies, at the moment of death he says, "There is no god but God."
