Wives of the Prophet

Narrated Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, that the women,

The women of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, were two groups.

One group in it consisted of Aisha, Hafsa, Safiyya, and Sawda.

And the other group was Umm Salama and the remaining wives of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace.

And the Muslims already knew that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, loved Aisha.

So when one of them had a gift that he wanted to give,

He held it back for the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace.

So when the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, was in the house of Aisha,

The owner of the gift sent to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, while he was in Aisha's house,

Then Umm Salama's group spoke.

So they said to her, "Speak to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace; he addresses the people."

So he says, "Whoever wishes to send a gift to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace,"

So let him give it to him wherever he was from the houses of his wives.

Then Umm Salama spoke to him about what we said.

So he did not say anything to her.

So we asked her, and she said, 'He did not say anything to me.'

So we said to her, 'Then speak to him.'

She said, then she spoke to him when he turned toward her again.

He said nothing to her.

So we asked her, and she said he had not said anything to me.

And they said to her, 'Speak to him until he speaks to you.'

He turned toward her, and she spoke to him.

He said to her, "Do not harm me regarding Aisha."

Indeed, the revelation did not come to me.

And I am in a woman's garment except Aisha.

She said, then she said, "I will repent to God for having harmed you, O Messenger of God."

Then indeed they called for Fatima, the daughter of the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace.

So they sent to the Messenger of Allah, may Allah send blessings and grant him peace,

She says that your wives implore you, by God, for justice for the daughter of Abu Bakr.

Then she spoke to him.

He said, "My little daughter, do you not love what I love?"

She said yes.

Then she returned to them,

She then informed them.

We said, "Go back to him," but she refused to return.

So they sent Zaynab, the daughter of Jahsh.

So she came to him and spoke harshly.

She said, "Your wives are urging you to ask Allah for justice for the daughter of the son of Abu Quhafa."

Then she raised her voice,

until she took hold of Aisha while she was sitting,

Then she cursed her.

So much so that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, would look at Aisha,

Did she speak?

He said, and then Aisha spoke, replying to Zaynab.

until she silenced her.

She said, and the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, looked toward Aisha,
