How to say “a sip” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَاسْتَيْقَظَا فَشَرِبَا غَبُوقَهُمَا،
Then they both woke up and drank their sips.
غَبُوقَهُمَا — their sips. A noun naming a night-drink, with an attached dual 'their' pronoun marking the two owners. The suffix folds 'belonging to the pair' into the noun, and it stands as the object of the drinking, the portion that was theirs.
