وَأَنَّهُ يُكَابِدُ مِئَةَ جَاهِلٍ
And that he struggles against a hundred ignorant people.
وَأَنه — and that he. Three pieces fuse here: wa- continues the report, a 'that' particle opens a new reported clause, and an attached '-he' rides as its accusative subject. So this one word both adds another claim and supplies its subject pronoun. It parallels the earlier 'that the devil...' clause.
