How to say “approached” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَتَعَرَّضَتْ لَهُ اِمْرَأَةٌ وَكََلَّمَتْهُ فَأَبَى،
Then a woman approached him and spoke to him, then he refused.
فَتَعَرَّضَتْ — then approached. The fa- launches the next turn of events -- a woman now acts -- and the verb's '-at' ending marks the doer as feminine. The forward push of fa- keeps the narrative ticking from one beat to the next.
