Arabic vocabulary
How to say “beware” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فأحذر التشبيه عياذا بالله عياذا،
So beware of likening, seeking refuge with Allah for protection.
فَٱحْذَرِ — so beware. The prefix fa- opens the consequence, 'so', attached to a command, 'beware'. Arabic shapes the imperative by stripping the verb to its bare order form addressed to a single person, with the listener understood from the shape alone.
