Arabic vocabulary
How to say “capture” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَكَانَ مِنْهَا كِتَابَتُهُ صَيْدُ الْخَاطِرِ،
Among them was his book, The Capture of Thought,
صَيْدُ — capture. This noun heads an 'of' pairing forming a book title, 'the Capture of...': it leans on the following noun and takes definiteness from it. Standing as the predicate of the clause it appears in the nominative. The bare juxtaposition builds the title.
