Arabic vocabulary
نَصَارَى is how you say “Christians” in Arabic. Hear it pronounced and see it used in a real example sentence from classical texts below.
افترت اليهود والنصارى وجاحد القرآن أخس،
The Jews and Christians fabricated, and the denier of the Quran is more vile.
وَالنَّصَارَى — and the Christians. This is wa- joining a second subject, 'and the Christians', to the first. As a coordinated item it matches the case of 'the Jews', so it too stands in the subject form, both groups sharing the one verb.
