How to say “combs” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَتَمْشُطُهُنَّ، وَتَقُومُ عَلَيْهِنَّ
She combs them and stands over them.
وَتَمْشُطُهُنَّ — and she combs them. The opening wa- ('and') joins this to the previous verb, continuing the list of what the woman would do. It is a present-shape verb with 'she' inside it and an attached -hunna ('them', females) as object, again pointing back to the sisters.
