Arabic vocabulary
How to say “cut him open” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَقَالَتْ الصُّغْرَى أَتَشَقَّهُ
The younger woman said, "Shall I cut him open?"
أَتَشَقَّهُ — shall I cut him open. This single word packs a question marker, a present-tense verb meaning 'cut/split', its built-in 'I' subject, and a tail pronoun 'him'. The opening question marker turns it into 'shall I...?', and the tail 'him' points at the boy. So 'shall I split him?' is one tightly bundled Arabic word.
