Arabic vocabulary
يُهْلِكُ is how you say “destroys” in Arabic. Hear it pronounced and see it used in a real example sentence from classical texts below.
فيطلبه فيهلكه،
He will pursue him and destroy him.
فَيُهْلِكُهُ — and destroy him. This is 'so' plus a Form IV verb 'destroys / makes perish' with '-hu' = 'him' — 'and destroy him'. The Form IV pattern makes the root causative ('cause to perish'). The 'fa-' links it as the result of the pursuit.
