How to say “drink” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَعَلَيْهَا طَعَامُهُ وَشَرَابُهُ
And on it were his food and his drink.
وَشَرَابُهُ — and his drink. This is a connecting 'wa-' fused to a noun that itself carries an attached pronoun 'his', so the unit means 'and his drink'. The 'wa-' pairs this with the previous item, completing the 'his food and his drink' list that was on the mount.
