Arabic vocabulary
How to say “drop” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فجرت قطرات النطف إلى أحصن الحروز،
Then drops of sperm were released into well-fortified fortresses.
قُطُرَاتُ — drops. This is the subject of the verb, placed after it as Arabic prefers, and it heads a possessive pairing, 'drops of sperm'. So it both does the flowing and opens the 'of' relationship completed by the next word.
