How to say “endow” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَمَا حَبَّاهُمْ مِنْ فَطْنَةٍ وَذَكَاءٍ
And how He endowed them with keen perception and intelligence.
حَبَّاهُمْ — endowed them. A past verb 'endowed / gifted' with an attached object '-hum' = 'them' folded on, so verb and object are one word. Its subject is the implicit 'He' (God) carried by the form; '-hum' marks the recipients of the gift.
