How to say “enjoying comforts” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
كَانَ اِبْنُ الْجَوْزِيِّ أَنِيقًا فِي مَظْهَرِهِ نَزْهًا نَظِيفًا، مُتَنَعِّمًا فِي مَعِيشَتِهِ،
Ibn al-Jawzi was elegant in his appearance, modest and clean, and enjoyed the comforts of his life,
مُتَنَعِّمًا — enjoying comforts. An active participle — a describing word built from a verb — meaning 'enjoying / living in comfort', continuing the description of his state. It too sits in the predicate case governed by the earlier 'was', extending the 'he was...' list.
