How to say “error” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَشَرَّدَهُمْ فِي بَيْدَاءِ الضَّلَالِ
Then he scattered them into the desolate wilderness of error.
الضَّلالِ — of error. A noun carrying 'the', the owner half of 'wilderness of error', joined by bare juxtaposition. It wears the after-link ending and supplies definiteness, making it the specific 'error' meant. It says what the wilderness belongs to, turning a place into a metaphor for going astray.
