How to say “fade away” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
إِضْمَحَلَّتْ الْحِيَالُ فِيهِ
The stratagems against him faded away.
اضمحلت — faded away. Past-tense verb wearing a feminine ending because Arabic often matches the verb to a non-human plural as if it were one feminine thing. It also comes before its subject, the normal verb-first order, so the doer is named only afterward.
