Arabic vocabulary
How to say “false” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَآمَالُهُ كَاذِبَةً غُرْورًا،
And his hopes are false and deceptive.
كَاذِبَةً — are false. A feminine singular adjective serving as the predicate, 'are false', in a verbless sentence with no 'is'. It takes the feminine singular shape because Arabic treats a non-human plural like 'hopes' as a feminine singular for agreement. So the form is matching, not mismatched.
