Arabic vocabulary
How to say “his hopes” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَآمَالُهُ كَاذِبَةً غُرْورًا،
And his hopes are false and deceptive.
وَآمَالُهُ — and his hopes. The wa- opens with 'and'. The noun is a plural, 'hopes', with -hu ('his') fused on as owner, so 'hopes' and 'his' are one word. It is the subject of the verbless sentence that follows, the thing about to be called false. The 'his' points to the same deluded figure.
