فَحُفِظَ مِنَ الْغَرْقِ وَسُلِمَ مِنَ الطُّوفَانِ
So it was preserved from drowning and saved from the flood.
الطُّوفَانِ — the flood. Definite by 'al-' and in the genitive ending under the preceding 'from'. It names the flood as the calamity escaped, the second of the two dangers the subject was kept clear of.
