Arabic vocabulary
How to say “gain strength” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وفتق معاه للقوت فتقوى،
And opened his means for sustenance so he may gain strength.
فَتَقَوَّى — so he gained strength. The fused front letter marks a 'so/then' result flowing from the opening. The rest is a past-tense verb with a built-in 'he' subject, reporting that the man gained strength as the outcome of that act.
