مَجْلِسِ — gathering. 'Sitting / assembly', first term of an 'of' pairing — 'the gathering of his mention' — genitive after 'from'. It owns the noun that follows.

مَجْلِسًا — a session. An indefinite noun 'a session' wearing the object-like ending, marking it as the direct object — the thing convened. Its bare, un-'the' ending leaves it 'a session', one not previously specified.
