How to say “gazelle” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
الْمَثَلُ الثَّانِيُ الظَّبْيُ أَشَدُّ سَعْيًا مِنَ الْكَلْبِ،
The second example: the gazelle exerts itself more than the dog.
الظَّبْيُ — the gazelle. A definite noun 'the gazelle', the topic the rest of the sentence will comment on. Its al- and subject ending set it up as what the comparison is about. A predicate stating it is swifter than the dog follows.
