Arabic vocabulary
وَلَدَتْ is how you say “give birth” in Arabic. Hear it pronounced and see it used in a real example sentence from classical texts below.
فَأَمْكَنَتْهُ مِنْ نَفْسِهَا فَوَلَدَتْ غُلَامًا،
She allowed him access to her and gave birth to a boy.
فَوَلَدَتْ — so she gave birth. The fa- here means 'and so, as a result' -- the pregnancy follows from the union -- and the verb's '-at' keeps the doer feminine, 'she gave birth'. It marks consequence, not just sequence.
