Today is the day of the great battle; today the Kaaba will be desecrated.
الْمَلْحَمَةِ — the great battle. This noun is the owner half of 'the day of the great battle', taking the article 'the' and the genitive '-i' ending that marks the possessor. The two nouns side by side, with no separate 'of', form the dramatic label for the day.
