Arabic vocabulary
How to say “habits” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
الإرادةُ تُشعل البداية، لكن العاداتِ تحملُ الطريق
Will kindles the beginning, but habits carry the journey.
العاداتِ — habits. A feminine plural, 'habits,' in the -a form because 'but' before it forces its noun there. It is the subject of 'carry' next, though it wears the accusative ending — a quirk of this 'but'. Habits, not will, sustain the journey.
