Arabic vocabulary
How to say “happen” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وأنه لا يحدث شيء إلا بإرادته،
and that nothing happens except by His will,
يَحْدُثُ — it happens. A present-tense verb, 'happens', carrying its own subject slot to be filled by the noun next. The present shape gives the timeless sense 'nothing ever happens', and the negation before it makes the whole statement a denial.
