Arabic vocabulary
How to say “he carry” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَقَالَ لِعَازِبٍ ابْعَثِ ابْنَكَ يَحْمِلْهُ مَعِي
He said to 'Azib, "Send your son to carry it with me."
يَحْمِلْهُ — he carry it. A present-tense verb that here drops its final vowel because it answers the command before it: 'send your son [so that] he carry it'. That clipped ending is the verb's response-to-a-command shape, signalling the result the order aims at. The fused '-hu' (it) is the thing to be carried.
