  And he said: 'Allah says: Whoever does a deed in which he associates someone else with Me, it is for the one he associated, and I am free from it.'

  مَعِي — with Me. A preposition meaning 'with' fused to a 'me' pronoun, marking the divine speaker as the one alongside whom a partner is wrongly set. The short word bundles link-word and pronoun.
