Arabic vocabulary
How to say “he drags it” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَجَعَلَ يَسْحَبُهُ وَلَا يَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ يَقُومَ
So he began to drag it, and he could not get up.
يَسْحَبُهُ — he drags it. This is a present-tense verb with 'he' built in and an 'it' object-pronoun attached, so one word means 'he drags it', paired with the 'began' verb to mean 'started dragging it'. The 'it' points back to the camel. The present shape after 'began' shows the action getting going.
