How to say “he is playing” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
حَتَّى وَجَدُوهُ يَلْعَبُ مَعَ الْصِّبْيَانِ
Until they found him playing with the boys.
يَلْعَبُ — he is playing. A present-tense verb, 'he is playing', with 'he' inside; placed after 'found him' it describes the state he was in when found, an ongoing action caught in progress. Arabic uses the present this way to paint a simultaneous scene.
