Arabic vocabulary
How to say “he leaves me” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَيَدَعُنِي مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ أَنْ يَدَعَنِي
So He leaves me for as long as Allah wills to leave me.
فَيَدْعُنِي — so he leaves me. The leading fa- marks consequence, 'so', and the verb is a present-tense form for a single male doer with -ni ('me') fused on as the object, 'He leaves me'. The unnamed 'He' is built in. A following clause then measures how long, so this verb sets up a duration phrase after it.
