Arabic vocabulary
How to say “he surrenders” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَيَسْتَسْلِمُ الْبَائِسُ لِلشَّيْطَانِ وَجُنْدِهِ
So the wretched man surrenders to Satan and his troops.
فيستسلم — so he surrenders. The fa- prefix means 'so/then', and what follows is a present-tense verb with its third-person singular doer in the prefix. The verb is reflexive in sense, 'he gives himself over', so the whole word carries connector and self-directed action at once.
