How to say “his father” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
إِلَّا أَنَّهُ لَمْ يَنْتَفِعْ بِنَصِيحَةِ وَالِدِهِ،
However, he did not benefit from his father's advice.
وَالِدِهِ — and his father. An attached 'and' on the front plus an attached possessor on the back, with the noun sandwiched between, so a single word carries a connector, a thing, and its owner. The attached owner reaches back to the disobedient son's father. It is also the owning tail of the possessive chain started by the previous word.
