Arabic vocabulary
How to say “his preaching” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَالْوَاعِظُ مُتَصَنِّعٌ بِوَعْظِهِ،
And the preacher puts on a show in his preaching.
بِوَعْظِهِ — in his preaching. The bi- preposition here marks the arena or instrument of the affectation ('by means of / in'), putting its noun into the genitive, and that noun carries -hi ('his') naming the preaching as his own. So the word ties the show-making to the very preaching it is performed through.
