How to say “his resolve” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَرُبَّمَا فَتَرَتْ عَزِيمَتُهُ،
And sometimes his resolve slackened,
عَزِيمَتُهُ — his resolve. This noun is the subject of the verb before it: 'his resolve', which slackened. It carries -hu ('his') tying it to the man, and the plain subject ending marking it as the doer. Being a feminine noun, it is what made that verb take its feminine ending.
