How to say “I answer” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَقَالَ أُجِيبُهَا أَوْ أُصَلِّي
So he said, "Shall I answer her or shall I pray?"
أُجِيبُهَا — I answer her. A present-shape verb whose 'I' subject lives in its prefix, with the object pronoun 'her' stuck on the tail. So one word states the doer, the act, and who it lands on; the present shape here frames a deliberation -- 'shall I answer her?'
