How to say “I gave him” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
قَالَ فَأَرِنِي فَأَعْطَيْتُهُ الْقَدَحَ
He said, "Show me," so I gave him the cup.
فَأَعْطَيْتُهُ — so I gave him. A dense single word: the leading fa- ties it to the prior step, the verb body is a finished action with 'I' as its built-in subject, and -hu ('him') rides on the end as the receiver. So it packs sequence, doer, deed, and recipient into one token. The cup that was given comes next as the second object of this double-object verb.
