How to say “show me” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
قَالَ فَأَرِنِي فَأَعْطَيْتُهُ الْقَدَحَ
He said, "Show me," so I gave him the cup.
فَأَرِنِي — so show me. A command to one person built on a verb whose first letter the form trims away, leaving a short stem with the object -ni ('me') attached at the end. So one word carries both the order and who it is aimed at. The opening fa- chains this request to the previous line, marking it as the next beat in the exchange.
