How to say “I rolled” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
كَمَاءً دَحْرَجْتُهُ عَلَى صَفْوَانِ
Like water, I rolled it over a smooth stone.
دَحْرَجْتُهُ — I rolled it. A past-tense verb that packs three things into one word: the action 'rolled', the '-tu' ending that makes the doer 'I', and the tail '-hu' that is the object 'it'. So a whole English clause 'I rolled it' lives inside this single Arabic word, with the subject and object both attached to the verb.
