Arabic vocabulary
How to say “I shook” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَنَفَضْتُ يَدِيَ فِي وَجْهِهِ،
So I shook my hand in his face,
فَنَفَضْتُ — so I shook. The prefixed fa- moves the action on, 'and so I shook', tying his contemptuous gesture onto the dream-speech just reported. The verb is past tense with the -tu 'I' built in. The connective marks the shaking-off as his dismissive reaction.
