How to say “in need” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَأَنَّهُ مُفْتَقِرٌ إِلَيْهِ مُحْتَاجٌ إِلَيْهِ
And that he is in need of Him and dependent on Him.
مُفْتَقِرٌ — in need. An active participle, a noun-like word from a verb that names the doer of a state, here 'one who is in need'. It works as the predicate 'he is needy' and naturally takes a 'to/of...' phrase to name what he needs.
