Arabic vocabulary
How to say “increase” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَتَكْثُرُ نَوْبَاتُ الانْتِصَارِ وَتَقِلُّ
Moments of triumph come and go.
وَتَكْثُرُ — and it increases. The front 'wa-' connects this clause to the flow of the passage, and the verb is a present-tense 'grows many / increases', with its subject ('they') understood from the form. It pairs with a later opposite verb to picture frequency rising and falling.
