Arabic vocabulary
How to say “inwardly” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَأَمْرِهِ وَنَهْيِهِ ظَاهِرًا وَبَاطِنًا
And His command and His prohibition, outwardly and inwardly.
وَبَاطِنًا — and inwardly. A wa- 'and' fused to a noun in the object-style adverbial ending, 'inwardly', set against 'outwardly' before it. The wa- coordinates the contrasting pair. Together they cover both the outer and inner aspects.
