Arabic vocabulary
How to say “its brother” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَالْجُزْعُ قَرِينُ الْعَجْزِ وَشَقِيقِهِ
And despair is the companion and the brother of weakness.
وَشَقِيقِهِ — and its brother. wa- coordinates a second predicate ('and its brother'), with 'its' attached pointing back to weakness. The suffix tracks the nearest fitting noun, so despair is called the brother OF that weakness.
