How to say “Jurayj” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
وَكَانَ جُرَيْجٌ فِي صَوْمَعَتِهِ،
And Jurayj was in his cell.
جُرَيْجٌ — Jurayj. A man's name acting as the doer of the 'was' just before it. The little -un tail marks it as the subject (nominative) and as not-yet-tied to anything following, so we read it as the free-standing topic of this new clause.
