How to say “know” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَأَقُولُ، يَا بُنْيَّ تَعَلَّمْ أَنَّي لَا أَشْرَبُ نَهَارًا
So I say, my son, know that I do not drink during the day.
تَعَلَّمْ — know. A command (imperative) verb directed at one listener, 'know / be aware'. The order lives in the verb's shape itself, with no separate 'you'. It heads the instruction and is followed by a 'that...' clause stating what the listener is told to recognize.
