How to say “Lord” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
فَأَحْمَدُ رَبَّيَّ بِمَحَامِدٍ عَلَّمَنِيهَا،
So I praise my Lord with praises He taught me.
رَبَّيَّ — my Lord. A noun with -ya ('my') fused on, 'my Lord', standing as the object of the praising verb; the doubled ending is the noun meeting the possessive suffix. The suffix marks the owner as 'me'. It names the One praised, the target of the verb.
