How to say “man” in Arabic, with pronunciation and an example from OpenArabic texts.
عَلَّمَ الْإِنسَانَ مَا لَمْ يَعْلَمْ
He taught man what he did not know.
الْإِنسَانَ — man. This noun carries the 'the' marker as a definite, whole category, humankind, and its accusative ending marks it as the one taught, the object of the verb. The 'the' generalizes rather than singling out a person.
